Funny reasons
I figured I might as well get this out of the way since you are really curious to know.
While the idea of writing a journal online (aka blogging) had always seem like an interesting thing to do, it never occured to me that doing so would make any sense to a practical man like myself. To borrow a quote frequently used by my first son, “What’s the point?” (now, where did he pick that up from?
)
True, I didn’t have any compelling reasons to begin one, let alone spend my precious time, like now, to maintain it. Perhaps, I could have offered the following reasons, at one point or another:
- “busy” (hmm.. its really seductive to be in that state, right?)
- “tired” (not enough sugar)
- “family” (well, there’s always the wife & the kids..)
- “lazy” (not psyched up enough)
- “sleepy” (sleep apnea?)
- “tv” (how can you miss an episode of “Prison Break”?)
- “no time” (now, that’s a classic
)
But alas, I have to admit that I have finally come to my senses. Really, were these reasons, or were they actually…?
Ok, ‘lah’(a Singaporean slang, if you must know). No more lame excuses. I gave myself the ultimatum: Shape up, or ship out.
Join the bandwagon, or be left out.

So, join I did, and when I couldn’t stop myself, I started another blog
. I rolled up my sleeves, skipped sleep and got down to business.
Actually, I have one last confession to make. My blogs are a prelude to something bigger. I wish I can tell you all my plans right now, but I can’t. Well, at least not now, not yet.
Don’t you worry though, for when that happens, this will be the place you hear it first — from the horse’s mouth.
That’s a promise.
